The Air Thread 2000D Professional is Janome;s first air thread overlocker and easily, one of the easiest overlockers on the market to thread.

Featuring Janome’s industry-first push and blow type air threading system, the thread is blown down the threading channel and through the eye of the looper, making for easy looper threading. Threading the needles is just as easy, thanks to the built-in needle threader, which slides left and right to allow the user to thread the desired needle in seconds.

Sewing specialty fabrics is a snap thanks to the 8-piece feed dog, which allows fabric to feed easily under the sewing foot, as well as grooves added to the sewing foot to aid control difficult or slippery fabrics when stitching.

On the upper left of the overlocker is a 5-level foot pressure dial, ensuring that you can set the perfect pressure for any project. The stitch length and differential settings are integrated, allowing for easy and precise fabric adjustment, whether sewing stretch or lightweight woven fabric. By opening the front cover, you can easily access and dis-engage/re-engage the cutting blades.

Because safety is so vital, if any covers are open, the sewing foot is elevated, or the air thread mechanism is engaged, the overlocker will not operate.

Another industry first is the use of two ball bearings on the main shaft, which produce low torque and allow the overlocker to operate at high speeds while remaining powerful and stable.

All of these features were created with the goal of making this overlocker the most user-friendly on the market.
