Description
The cutting surface of your overlocker’s blades can wear away due to wear and tear and ageing. While many upper blades may be sharpened at least once, this can cause your project to be severely delayed. It’s a good idea to keep at least one spare blade on hand in order to ensure that there are no lengthy delays in your sewing. As a result, we offer the entire line of Janome Overlocker blades for purchase. Because these blades change from model to model, double-check the model number on your machine and compare the fixture on your present blade.
This blade is designed to fit the Janome Air Thread AT2000D Professional
Changing the blades on an overlocker is simple:
Remember this simple guideline when installing new knives on your overlocker. Make sure the lower blade is screwed into the overlocker with the blade’s cutting edge at the same height as the needle plate. When it comes to the upper blade, keep the compression spring in place when screwing it in (releasing when your screw is correctly threaded).
Storage of Overlocker Blades:
Overlocker blades, like any metal, are susceptible to rust. When not in use for a long time, coat the blade in a fine sewing machine oil or silicone spray to prevent this from happening to your blades (both on the machine and spares).
